Rep Power: 0 | How you can do one realistic tactic?
Hello:
I would like to know how I can do Rijkaard's Barcelona tactic, for example.
I mean, by positions is sure:
1- VĂ*ctor ValdĂ©s (GK)
2- Zambrotta (D R)
3- Van Bronckhorst (D L)
4- Márquez (D C)
5- Puyol (D C)
6- Xavi (M C)
7- Deco (M C)
8- EdmĂ*lson (DM C)
9- Eto'o (ST)
10- Ronaldinho (AM L)
11- Messi (AM R)
But... What I do the players play like Barcelona in reality?
I have read that if you want to play with attacking mentality and with ball possession, you must choose low tempo and very short passes.
But Barcelona in reality play with high tempo and short passes, this is possible in the game?
And how I do for Ronaldiho, Messi and Eto'o play with total free role? In the game I pick the free role and do nothing.
Other example... In Real Zaragoza... How I do that D'Alessandro, like M L, play with free role moving to AM C and M R without change his position with other player?
I think the tactics must be improvement. This is too much rigids.
Regards,
Fernando A.S.

I have forgot say that in the game is very difficult to have a ball possession of 60%. In reality, for example, Barcelona have ever very much possession without difficult.

If you watch barcelona in real life there keeper starts off the attack by passing it to puyol, this should be the first thing you change 'put keeper on defender collect' and select puyol this should also give you a few more % possession, Next thing is to understand that slow tempo with short passing wont really be that slow, if you take the time to watch a match you will see what i mean, set the tempo on the slowest notch and then set the passing style global onto the 2nd notch, you will see the ball getting passed around like a ping pong ball.
This takes a lot of skill and can be only done by great teams like barcelona.
From here on you need to set your mentality and closing down to how ever you want your team to play. Really you shouldnt have much truble getting 56% possession and 75% passing completion with slow tempo and passing.

Ok. You can see that when VĂ*ctor ValdĂ©s pass to Puyol or Márquez, they are very open to the flanks. How I do this?
And really, if you watch the possession in the matches of Barcelona, they are ever at least of close to 70%. In the game this is very difficult.
For example, Real Zaragoza play attacking and ball possession too, and they have good players like Aimar or D'Alessandro. In the game, is very difficult to have possession with Zaragoza.
I think tactics should be improvement in Football Manager. At least put with/without ball like CM3.

Ok, Barcelona will NEVER have 70% possession in every match. Alot of teams outplay them, they are a very overrated team. If you want to play possesion football, have a slow tempo and a quite narrow width also have short or direct passing with players holding up the ball. Fact is, this is a Football Simulator, it wont mimic real life Barcelona!!

Barcelona is a football team, and if Football Manager is a Football Simulator, it should can do realistic tactics.
I am Real Zaragoza fan, but my team play an attacking and possession football, and I can't do this in the game. Thats's why...

Can i just remind you, its not about having the ball for 90 minutes its what you do with it in 90 minutes that counts, quiet often i can get a decent 5-0 win with 45% possession if you know what ur doing.
I think whats your porblem is m8 is your trying to keep the ball to much, trying to make it happen wont help its to predictable and the other team closes down and win it easly, try behing a bit more random and you will find you will benifit from it.
Sorry to sound harsh, but i was born in Yorkshire |
