Try Gago from Real. He's similar to Fabregas only a lot more defensive. if you want a more attacking option, go for Yohan Gorcuff of Milan, he normally turns into a wonderkid at the end of the first season or Kerlon, Fernandes, Moutinho or Julian De guzman. De Guzman is better at AMR but is still world class at CM.

I didn't mean, that Rooney himself, was a Manc, but I just don't believe he would leave man utd for arenal in real life and in FM, I wouldnt have thought arsenals reputation was high enough in season 1 for rooney to be persuaded to join them.
