Huddlestone is infamous around these parts
Default Fulham Second Season

I'm getting really irritated by players being overpriced.

I wanted to keep them game realistic by buying some young decent british players.

Gordon worth £3.6mill following relegation
Barnes worth £4.2mill

Both clubs want around £20mill for each which is ridiculous. Then I try for Carew who they ask £10mill for. I only have £14mill to spend so what should I do?

Its not a question of over-priced. Those are quality players and you'd be hard-pressed to get them on the cheap. However, give it a little time and their value usually goes down. I mean even as much as a couple of weeks brings it down a lot. Else, just unsettle them by declaring interest or something. That'll drive the price down.

As for what you should do, there are plenty of other alternatives that you can get cheap if needed and who'll do a great job for you.

For eg,

If you want a GK, Enyeama is great. Check if Livorno has gone down. If they have, Amelia will be available cheap. He's great too.

Finding a cheap right winger is a little harder. Wait for Barnes's price to go down. It does eventually iirc. You could get Torje as he's great there too.

But yeah, if you want help with players, just state the position you're looking for really. As for buying British, not always the best option as British (esp English) players are ALWAYS overpriced. Thats the case in the game and in real life.

Oscar Cardozo should be available for around £14m if you want to dump all your money on one player

check if getafe have gone down, i got ustari for 4.2mil (min. release clause) after they went down. Also have a look at luis jimenez and iwanski (polish), both can play in the centre and on the right.
