I'm getting bored with FM08 already. I've got 2 games running to choose from, 1 as Ajax, in my 3rd season and 1 as Arsenal, in season 4, still to lose a premiership game in this time. Quite frankly, its just dull. I find I play 1 game on either game then switch it off again.
I need a challenge, can anyone recommend a good team to go where I can play a basic 4-4-2 formation, without having to resort to these FM fantasy formations that keep popping up everywhere. I want a game where my first 11 wont end up the same as the others around here too easily (no Stancu, Dzsudzsak etc) as again, it just becomes boring.
FC Bayern are fun. They've got a quality team that has 4* rated players for every position in a 4-4-2 diamond, decent youth (Kroos is amazing as in real life), and two great strikers in Toni and Klose. The only transfers you need to do are a backup LB, backup wingers, maybe a backup CB, and a replacement for Kahn. Other than that, the team is ready to go.
Interesting shout, they're a team i've always fancied going, but one of my satisfactions is having my players picked for their national team, something that wont happen in Germany for a few years anyway.
France is a shout, I might go someone like Lille, Toulouse (if i didnt have to wear lilac!) or St Ettienne...
Arsenal is just an incredibly boring team to manage in fm08 mate, even if you try your best to mess everything up they'll still do well! :p
Try like: Scandinavian league, Korea/China/Japan, Argentina/Brazil/MLS/, Hungary/Ukraine/Russia.
I'd actually strongly recommend the Ukrainian/Russian league! You get Champions League/EURO play, not too restrictive on foreign players, etc. There is the massive clubs like Shaktar/CSKA Moscow, but there is also the smaller once with potential like Spartak Moscow/Dnipro.
Southampton is an interesting game, not much money to spend but a squad good enough to get you out of the championship in the first season. A couple of good young players and a great academy
Na, too much money and established success at Lyon, has to be a smaller team. Thanks for the suggestions so far guys, when I get out of work tonight, i'll look into some of them. Ukraine/Russia sounds good.
