Thanks for all your suggestions.

Does anyone know if it's at all possible to remove the guy who's currently in charge of the U20's and take over instead so I can put the youth prospects that I want in there?

You may also want to consider what to do if you get sacked. Personally I'd rather manage a domestic Dutch side rather than a Mexican one. The Mexican league has a funny structure, similar to the Brazilian one.
It's completely different from Brazil's league structure.

-Brazil has state championships, Mexico doesn't.

- Brazil has a national cup, Mexico doesn't.

- Mexico has an Apertura + Clausura format while Brazil's nat'l league has the same format as the Spanish or Italian Leagues.

- Mexico has an InterLiga which qualify teams for Copa Libertadores while Brazil doesn't have anything like that.

When you get a server update from FM Weegie then Germany has a good squad and resources to work on.

I'm currently managing the Ivory Coast as the ACN is quite topical atm, good fun tho not exactly the best squad in the world in terms of depth (lol only got 1 keeper atm), but still worth a try if u are bored.

Ok, well I stand corrected. I haven't played in Brazil since the days of CM, and I quit my Mexico save after only a few weeks as I found the league system too confusing. Regardless, the two systems are quite a bit different from the standard European league format.
