So I'm playing with Newcastle and Chelsea just bought Martins for 20mil, which was his release clause. This is the 1st season, in August, and I'm wondering who should I buy to replace Martins, who was basically my best player...
I have Owen, Stancu and Viduka, so I need a really good striker.

i assume that u used ur chelsea team to buy your best player at newcastle team for 13m? come on.. isnt it silly to buy from ur own team? why not just let martin stay at newcastle and used ur unlimited cash and charm of chelsea to buy better players?!

Hes cheap, and he is a very good player, well worthy of a first team place. He doesnt mind being back-up. He is Mauro Zarate. Dont be fooled by his massive price tag, thats only so high because thats what Al-Sadd bought him for. Bid about £2.8mil, and it should be accepted. You may want to buy someone else too, but IMO he should be fine, and you should concentrate on building up the rest of your team. Owen and Zarate would be super!

I think joao_colha meant he is playing as Newcastle, and Chelsea bought Martins of him. Hes not playing as both!

Alright, Zarate is an option, but I got a lot of money so I could probably buy a really good striker. But I'll keep Zarate in mind, thanks.

Get Jimmy Briand mate. He should cost you about 10-15M and is an awesome striker. Cavani is another possibility. Huntelaar? Fred if lucky.

Hmmm, is Briand good enough when he arrives or does he take some time to get good? I'm asking cause I really only have Owen and a world class striker right now.
Maybe Pandev? How much does he cost anyway (in €)?
