I took control of Red Star Belgrade in the Serbian league. Everytime a team puts in a bid for one of my players (slightly higher than what the player is worth) the bid gets accepted. Is there any way to disable a feature that enables the president to accept bids? Cheers
I don't think there is an option to disable it. Perhaps playing with the editor and improving the clubs status and / or bank balance may prevent it from happening. But that kind of defeats the object I guess!
Ye, I don't want to do that. I just want to disabe taht damn feature because if i start building a squad, and he starts to sell all them players i won't be too pleased.
I think the pre-game editor is actually the way to go, here: use it to set your chairman's Interference stat to the lowest setting, and he should leave you alone to get on with it.
i know whare your coming from BOBO, i'm currently managing Man City and half way through my second season i was 7th, then AC Milan made a 20 mil bid for Richards, i wanted to hang on to him till the end of the season so i had a chance to qualify for europe, so i rejected it then they came back and offered £30 mil and the chairman accepetd it!! Then to make matters worse on the last day of the transfer window he accepts offers for both Bianchi and Elano. WTF!!!.. I now have a skelton squad relying on Mpenza and Sturidge up front and Milner as a replacment for Elano, and he's not much cop. I have now sliped to 15th having only won 2 of my last 10 games and failed to score in 6 of those games. Confidence in my management has now gone to pot and any chance of euro qualification has gone with it! Cheers Thaksin, you complete fool!
And advice to all this people that complaint about chairman-sellers:
Try to give players a minimum transfer clause, quite high but not too much; about the amount you will like to get if he is sold. If a player has a value of 5M and teams are offering you 6M, put a clause of 8M. Maybe a team will pay it, but then you will have an overpayed transfer
Teams will be likely to pay 8M (if that is the value of clause) than 6M.
BUT if you assign a clause of 30M, teams will offer 6M and chairman could agree with any of them.
It's only and advice, it worked for me in fm2007 with newport county. My chairman sold 4 of my better prospects :___ Well, he sold a striker who has promoted me from league 2 to championship by himself (half goals of my team, half mom of my team also...). But arsenal put 9.75M and my club was quite poor, so he had to accept. His clause was 36M, btw.

How do I get to that feature? I load up editor, then find the chairman Dragan Stojkovic and that chairman's interference feature should be there? Correct? Cheers

Just to add to xouman's post:
My strategy is to set a selling value extremely high for all players I don't want to sell. When other teams bid, their bid is usually way higher than the player's value, but they usually just make enquiries and leave the players alone.
