Is it possible to get job offers when you are under contract /recently signed a new deal or do you have to wait till your contract expires?

Absolutely. In fact if you're coming to the end of that career, or don't mind fiddling...

Around April, add a new manager that's got an ex-international reputation, a popular couple of nationalities (Brazil/Spain or similar) and give them a hugely important job (Brazil, England, Barca, Real, Milan etc).

Then get him to declare interest in all the insecure/very insecure/precarious jobs. See how many teams will sack their guy in the hope of getting you. My record is 7.

Rejecting them all and laughing at their chairman having to explain to the fans what happened is optional

But,do I have to apply for the positions or declare interest? Or can I still receive offers from clubs without me applying first when I m still under contract?

I am currently playing with Vestel Manisaspor in the Turkish league and I managed to win the turkish cup in my first year and finished 4th in the Turkish League which is quite well for a team like mine with quite a low budget.

Then I saw this news that Alex Ferguson's future is unknown and i am one of the candidates for Manchester Utd post. A Turkish coach from a low Turkish team to a club like Man Utd? pretty difficult to believe!

Then they offered me a 2 year contract and I accepted it..Thats why those news suddenly stopped..

You can get job offers out of the blue, without declaring intrest first, A.C Milan offered me the job when I was manager of Tottenham, I rejected and my loyalty went up

@ Aliatam. You don't have to do anything. If you're good enough, they will offer. You can increase the likelyhood of being offered by saying you'd be interested on the media item or actually declaring interest/applying. Conversely you can dampen the chances by saying you're happy where you are. Although sometimes a very stubborn team will offer you a deal anyway.
