Default For anyone concerned about how SI will implement & code the Prem Leagues recent proposals viz a viz 7 subs & 10 matches abroad *Read this.

So. the Premier League structure changes announced;
1/ 7 subs per match
2/ 10 matches played in foreign neutral venues

Dont worry guys, the wonderful Premier League (c) thinktank probably are not done yet, by the time February is out expect the final draft of how the future of football will be to be complete.

Then SI will have to worry about coding the following:

A/ There will be a pool of Premier League, highly salaried on retainers, star players (maybe 80). Clubs will bid to hire them as guest stars on a match by match basis, up to a maximum of 4 per club. The bidding process in the middle of the week proceeding each match will be televised giving an evening of "unmissable soccer fun"!.
B/ The remaining match day squads will be selected by regional on-camera "Soccer Star idol" contests during the weekend proceeding each match, which will also produce up to 20 hours "unmissable" TV programming for the weekday evenings!
C/ At the stadiums each fan will have a remote voting pad which at half time will allow the fans to vote on their Man of the Match so far. the 3 players on each side with lowest ratings will be subbed for the 2nd half. This will be done on the pitch at half time, Ant & Dec eliminating each player not to be subbed, one by one until the top 8 per side remain, shown live on TV! - unmissable drama & viewing.
D/ Goals + nets will no longer be installed on pitches so shots on target will be more representative of likely "Goals" than definate scores. At the end of each match the winner will be decided by a text/telephone vote of the match viewers at home on TV, rather than by the old outdated tallying up of actual goals scored.
E/ Match of the Day will be replaced by a show which features on the Player of the Day (decided as the star with the most daily hits on his personal website). The show will feature exclusively on the players Crib & his drive in wardrobe, with a "funny" spot at the end where his taste in wall adorning artwork can be assessed. Alan Hansen will still be on the show, providing no one asks him how the hell he got that scar on his forehead!(have you noticed that?)

As Im sure you will agree, a "Business Concept" that stands still goes backwards and I think Mr Scudamore & the boys should be carried shoulder high through the Nation of Football for saving the game.

OK evereyone, three cheers for the Premier League executives, "Hip Hip....."

.. what, no replies?, are you suggesting the Prem League are out of touch with the real football fan?
