My one was shut following the revelation that the Copa America DOES invit teams outside of South America to play in them. It must be because they removed this so called "bug" from the game when the patch came out but then realised they made a hash of it and that they really do not know anything about the Copa America tournament.

I agree to many threads get closed, especially recently in the player and team guide.

I had a thread a few weeks ago which was asking advice on which players would be good enough for my Arsenal team, hoping for many opinions from fans of all teams. I posted a screenshot of the list of players who's contracts were expiring, and got some very helpful advice. I was then told by a mod to use the Arsenal thread, which not only doesnt get as many replies, but only get replies from Arsenal fans.

There has been other threads closed for the sake of it, when there are abusive threads they should be closed, but when something is SLIGHTLY off-topic it should be allowed to remain open.

I don't go into the GTPGF so I'm not ideally placed to comment, but imagine what that forum would llok like if everyone who had a question about their individual team created a new thread about it. It woudl be completely over-run and it would be impossible to find anything and the forum would be a shambles.

I think it's pretty realistic that if you have a question about which players you should play/keep/sell/release in your Arsenal team, then you should post it in the Arsenal thread.

Maybe you would just prefer the forums to be full of a million threads full of a load of old Ballacks.

A point of note by the way. Threads are not abusive, only the comtent of the posts in them. If a post iss made that is abusive then I am sure that it will be dealt with appropriately if it is reported and seen by a Mod. A thread that is posted either in the wrong forum or is of a subject where numerous existing threads are already in place is closed because it detracts from the forum as it dilutes the strength of other threads, (at the very least).

Don't post threads in the wrong forums or don't post duplicate threads and they won't get closed.

It's not exactly brain surgery yet some of you just don't seem able to grasp it.

To be fair the search facility on here isnt the best but some duplicate Posts are obviously needless. Am always disappointed when someone gets knobbed off in here because if innocence or nieivety rather that ignorance though.
