ok, Im curious....having just lost to crystal palace on penaltys following the usual english attitude of picking your best penalty taker and seeing who offers themselves up for sacrifice for the rest, I was wondering what policy everyone else follows?? Also, and im sorry for the various fouls my english lang has caused, has anyone else noted the lack of decent english pen takers in the game??? or is it just me????

Well yes, the whole of England has noticed as it has been years since England have won a competetive penalty shootout in real life.

I usually try and have my 3 best PK takers taking the 1st, 2nd and 4th penalty kicks with the next best 2 taking 3rd and 5th.

om even talking in the future, i got the englang job years in the future and i thought i better set the pens incase we god forbid went that far and even the regens or freds that are english have low pen abilities....freaky...cursed forever

i look to my keeper to win the shoot out for me! bit of a risk but hey-ho.

For me its:
1: 2nd best.
2: 3rd best
3: best
then the rest in order. Always considered the 3rd penalty as crucial as if you miss that could lose after only 3 pens each.

I leave it on random, and i honestly can't remember the last time I lost a pen-shootout.

If you were to base it on real life you would also consider their morale and composure. Whether or not this is coded in the game I can't say.

To be honest my experience leads me to believe there is large random element in penalties in the game so as to reflect real life. This makes it difficult to pinpoint the specific attributes in the game that make a good penalty taker.

Also I'd agree with Nepenthez here that leaving it on random I've had more joy than hand picking the takers myself.
