Hi, Playing on Football Manager the other day I decided I was bored with the way the game looked. Later I went on the internet in search for a good skin but nothing really took my fancy so I decided I would have a crack at doing it myself. And here we are.
I decided I would make one for Arsenal as I couldn't find one for them, and I will make it in their new colour as I really like it being a West Ham fan and all...
I have been fiddling about for the past hour and have come up with a panel. Here is the screenshot:
And basically I am looking for advice, and thought it would be a helpful thread for others who decide create one, so feel free to offer advice!
I also have two questions to ask, first is why can't I see the text when I load my skin on FM 2005, and I cannot remember the second for now so I'll ask when I do.
I have just remembered what my other question was and it is what software does everyone use to make the various shades for the bar at the top and bottom etc, because I have been using paint and don't think it is really the best!
It won't look good at all if you do it on paint mate, it's just the way the game works. Photoshop is very good and you can download a 30 day free trial at http://www.adobe.co.uk

I have struck a problem. The software will not install, I have tried 5 times.
There are two options that I can see, one is someone helps me do it, by me giving them my email, then emailing them the graphics and communicating through MSN, which would work if anyone was willing to help.
http://www.gimp.org/ is supposed to be a good free piece of imaging software that should work for making skins. Never used it myself though but I've seen it mentioned a lot.
