i am having some trouble uploading skins on to my game. I download the skins fine but whenever i want to upload it it never seems to work. for example the auaora 2 skin every time i upload i select it but it never works all it does is changes the colour of the heading to a lighter green. The most recent time i tried , i went to edit preferences to select the skin but where you change the skin it was completely empty as if i had no skin at all. Does any one understand? if they do could you please help me solve my problem. Help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the explanation it is probably very hard to understand.

- Make sure you have unzipped/unrared the skin.
- Make sure you have put it into the correct folder:
e.g. \data\skins\skin_name.
NOT data\skins\skin_name\skin_name

If its in the correct place then in the preferences screen within FM in the skin select box the skin name should come up.

If the skin name comes up, and the game says skin loading wait a while may take a couple of minutes depending on skin and your computer specs. If the skin doesn't load then more than likely the skin is missing an xml file. Try redownloading the file (or download it from elsewhere). See if you can load any skin. If you have a friend or other computer see if they can load the skin. Or if you have a link to one of the skins you have downloaded that doesn't work, post the link and I'll see if it works for me.

thanks fot the helpful advice. but i have run into another problem despite making a small bit of progress. I downloaded it and selected it in edit preferences. However it has already taken 30minutes on the screen saying loading image data for the new skin . Please wait...........
Is this normal or is it a problem

That would be a problem. Its due to missing or corrupt config file I think(?).

Try redownloading the skin.
Are you using any download managers?
What are you using to unzip/unrar the skin?
If the skins in rar format try finding a zipped version, as someone people have had problems with rared files being corrupt when unrared.
