HI i am new to adding player pics and backgrounds to the game and wonder if someone could answer a simply question for me.
I am on FM06 and have just added player pics and backgrounds everyting works fine at present with "cache" box unticked but should i now tick this box or does it not matter? and if so what does this button do?

It speeds the loading of the game up so the answer is yes (unless you plan on adding any more soon as it can get tedious if you want to add more).

I'm guessing every time you load the game, or open a page in Football-Manager that has potential pictures that it goes searching for them in directories it might expect them (??), the cache is basically a map for all of this which means it doesn't have to look anymore as it knows where it is. Something like that.

It's faster, that's all that matters

If you don't plan on adding anything else then you can use the Skin Cache option. This should speed up the initial startup of your game as the game reads the cache file instead of looking for new graphics.
