Can you tell me how to prevent club from buying new players ?

something like "RETAIN_PLAYERS" which makes a club can't sell players

You can't really do that as there wouldn't be any real reason for it. You can only do something which may influence the club not to buy players (and potentially offload them as well).

I suppose you could edit the team to become ridiculously bankrupt (-1bn+), the club would offload players, the club would change hands a few times but they wouldn't be bringing in any new blood.

Surely if you bankrupted the team, a new board would just take over and the team would have money again.

Oh, and RETAIN_PLAYERS doesnt stop a club from selling players

sometimes a team will go for the same player each time, or Chelsea instantly bid for one of Newcastles (my team) players when i'm not them and i dont want him to leave.


so i just make either the manager buying or the player in question not like the club or manager or player, so the transfer wont happen, ever.

So Steven taylor hates Chelsea & Jose, Jose doesn't like Taylor. So when im ready to go to Newcastle, Taylor is still there.

I don't know how much this helps your situation, but hopefully you can take something from that logic and adapt it to your mysterious reason.

I guess, but whenever I've seen a new board take over a club in FM they clear the club's debt completely (admittedly, I've never seen a club with a billion quid's worth of debt though )
