It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Think about it from when you yourselves play football.

When you play and somebody closes you down quickly, most of us here probably are not very good footballers, so when we're under pressure we just hoof the ball away as we're not good enough or composed enough to play a possession game by keeping short passes going.

So you launch it away quickly to avoid giving it away.

Short passing is for a possession game with highly skilled players who are composed enough and skilful enough to keep the ball.

It would not make sense to have short passing for lesser skilled players

Direct passing in my world means watford, sheff utd etc. Just a nicer way to put it rather than long ball football as Wimbledon were once called. I'm using direct passing for all defenders, midfielders mixed and attackers short, but overall team instructions 1 notch up from short(mixed)

I take it you never seen Sheff Utd play then? We play a short passing game, to keep possession

Long ball is totally different, that would be just hoofing it upfield. Direct just means trying to move the ball from defence >> Mid >>> Attack without bypassing one fo them.

I would class Watford as long ball after watching some of their games this season.

You can press the 'print screen' button on the screen you want and then open up paint or something then click paste.

If you've done it correctly the image will be displayed

1. While in FM, press the 'Prt Sc' button (usually next to F12 on your keyboard).

2. Open an image editing program such as Paint and paste the image

3. Save the file as a JPEG

4. Upload the image to an image hosting website such as Imageshack

5. Post the direct Url to the image here.
