although ive been doing some reading and trying it out in the game, the thing which perplexes me the most is the "free role" option.
i currently use it on my amc but im not too sure what is the difference of it being on or off. any ideas? and which position is best for the free role option.
another one regarding the playmaker option. i know how it works but is it more effective with the dm or the amc?
A playmaker is the Zidane type player so an AMC definitely because all the play will go through him. However if he has a shocker then it all goes wrong.
hmm but ive read somewhere that a dm could be played as a playmaker too.
would like to use my dm to imitate what makalele does for chelsea. sit back and distribute the ball out. any pointers?

I have my DM employed as playmaker (the free role option is NOT ticked) and have had super success!
Try getting a born leader who dictates tempo and see the difference...

currently debating whether to use kaka (AMC) or pirlo (DMC) as my playmaker, curious to other peoples opinions on a DMC playmaker..
If my DMC as all the required stats for a playmaker, then I play them in the AMC position regardless of what it says on their profile
Think about this in real life for a moment. Think formerly Roy Keane now wat they are attempting to do with Michael Carrick at Man U/ England. He drops off and receives the ball from the keeper of centre defender. He then simply distributes the ball, whether this is in tight triangles or a hollywood ball.....
This is how I believe a playmaker works and this is how I have my FM Man Utd team set up!
