I have some really nice story,and i don't know where to post this!! I played with REAL,CHEALSE,LYON,some slub from my country SLOVENIA and some others.... and allways it doesn0t matter with who i played or who ever i had on goal(cech,buffon,casilas....) i allways have more shoots on target and everything that they shoot on target is GOAL??? WTF??? is this a bug or what,does someone else have this kind of problem in their squad(i mean GK)?? I am playing like 20 to 15(20 shoots and 15 on target) shoots and they have like 5 to 3 and they win 3 to 0!!!! ?????? and from 20 games that happens on 18 of them.... and my are good!!! and allways if i play 4,2,3,1.. or if i have somethinhg else...

What kind of shots are your players taking?

It could be that they're taking a lot of long shots, which would be why you're not scoring as the shots being made aren't ones which threaten the goal

Maybe you should invest in some new gloves for your goalkeeper? :p

Well. Seriously. I would say you should get a better defense, or put the pressure a bit higher. Your goalkeeper is nothing without a solid defence. Anyway. If you want to try with a new keeper, try Oscar Ustari. He need wor permit, but if you get him (together with two solid DCs) you can't do anything but win.

You say that you have 20 shots and 15 on target but still don't score? Find some new strikers, for crying out loud!!

1) Try and use a better detailed thread title in future, it makes people want to visit your thread more.

2) More info is needed as to what sort of shots they are, are they long ranged shots they are doing or defence splitting passes etc?

3) Details on your formation including team and player instructions would be really useful.

If not its just all guess work we are doing and pretty pointless.

ok for ex. i played CHE(me) against MANU i played away and they won 3 to 0. they had 6/3 and my shoots were 9/6. I played 4 def(cole,terry,ramos,d. alves),2 MC(pirlo with a down arrow and essien),then i had 3 AMC(robben,ballack and lampard) and Villa as a striker!! i didn't do anything for the long shoot for a whole team i just left like it was!! i just put villa to play just offense i put terry for man marking for rooney!and to close down their AMC and to prevent passes to ronney... aa btw buffon is my GK! and even do i think i have pretty cool squad i can't win,i think this must be something with the game... and that is just one game i lost like this. I lost to bayern in CL they shot 3 shoots in 2 games and scored 3 times! i had like 10 shoots in both games and scored one at home??? that can't be.... i have podolski,villa,S. cem,i sold schevchenko coz he couldn't score ...BTW i sold cech bcoz he was getting goal after goal,then he wanted new chalenge(but ok i bought buffon,and he really suxx) BTW i lost to arsenal charity 7/0 and they had 7 shoots!! what can i do?? do you need some other info,to help me??

OK. First off, punctuate and paragraph.

Second, you need to take a moment to go back over the highlights and make a note of the following:

1) Of all your shots, how many would you describe as good attempts. By that I mean shots in front of goal, preferably reasonably central where the striker has managed to get a clean hit on it.

Put more simply, how many of your shots should you have scored.

2) Look at the opposition shots. How many of their shots were reasonably easy. For instance, if you only give the opposition 1 shot but it's a free header from 4 yards, then clearly they will score.

So, that easy header is 1 shot, 1 on target. But maybe 30 shots from 25 yards aren't the best way to go.

You need to set up your tactic to be aware of the counter attack. If you give away easy opportunities, you will concede. Similarly, you need to have a tactic which will produce good opportunities for yourself, not speculative efforts.

You said i need to go through reports and stuff like that. Like i named the MANU example,they 3 shoots on target a few off,like i said 3 on target 3 goals,one was from freekick,another was out of the box and 3 was something like my goalie managed to saved it but couldn't get the hold of the ball,so i guessed it bounced on somebodys foot... On the other site if you look my chaces,I dad i think 6 shoots on tagret and it was like 4 times brilliant save by kusczak(MANU goalie) and for my SC it is he really should have scored there..and the same reports are like that!!

But like you said if they have one 100% chance then will score,i won't argue with that,but not from 20 games not on 18? that is strange? and i allways have computer goalie having at least a 8!!

i think my tactic is good and i play well i just conced every shoot that is going on target...

I think your major problem is that you are allowing the opposition to get players into the dangerous areas where their shots actually count for something. Try this: examine your defenders, do they have high ratings for pace, positioning and anticipation? if so, play the offside game and push your defensive line higher up the pitch. This will make it more difficult for the oppsition strikers as they will be forced deeper and will be caught offside more often. Also, this will reduce their shot to goals ratio as they will be hitting it from distance more often. Added to this, have your defenders closing down often and your centre backs man-marking the strikers. This will give them all less space. If this fails (it shouldn't) try individual player tactics with regards to the opposition, such as show onto foot etc. This will put strikers on their weaker foot and result in less accurate shooting.

this all sounds good! and it is like in real life,i played football for 15 years by now and i played manager since 01 i i think i know some stuff,but here i am lost i do everything like it is supposed to be i just can't score from 10 matches i play the computer GK allways is declared man of the match!!! i don't know if that is something wrong with my tactic or what?? it doesn't matter who i play it allways appears a line he should have scored and briliant safe by...and my goali has 8(rating) and he gets 2 goals from 3 attempts) what else can i do....
