It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

this is a great tip, but also want to highlight something else mentioned in this thread.

i set my wingers and full backs crossing to mixed rather than often, and my posession has increased, and the crosses that now go into the box are much better quality, definately worth trying.

I have wingers on mixed crossing so that they're more likely to dribble into the box from out wide, then make a pass for a tap-in or score themselves.

am trying this now - so simple, let's hope it works - West Ham 6th need to push on up the table - so that's far post and mixed
Thanks for the tip

Question for you, crazy gra. In the screen shots, the cross aim is showing Target Man. Isn't that what you are talking about, that this should be set to far post? Or am I miss understanding your post?

Thanks

i've setup my wingers to do this for a long time. to add to the discussion, a winger set to cross to the near post often results in a goal as well. if your st is good header etc, nearpost headers occur quite alot.

That screenshot is of the full back's instructions, whereas it's the wingers who I specify far post crossing for.

Basically it's a RoO set of tactics, so that's why I haven't uploaded them like I did with my 4-2-2-2 sets.
