Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Quadro Tactic

Team Instructions

In this tactic, I brought together what I observed in the game about what is working and finally found something that needs minimum tweaking and gives good results. I tested it and became Spanish League Champions with Getafe in my first season.

Passing the midfield as quickly as possible with minimum possessions lost was my main aim. AI's 4-2-4 was amazing. Every time AI team started playing 4-2-4, the game would turn and it became really hard to play against. Therefore, I choose 4-2-4 as my formation. Then, in order to decrease the gap between the midfield and defance, I put barrows to MCs. In order to use the gaps that always happens behind the wing backs I took my FL and FR back and put farrows. Most stable team mantality that wouldn't cause shocking defeats was top notch of normal. Width was needed to let the wing backs support the attack. Defending deep was the only way to decrease the effect of fast strikers. Counter attcack was still effective. Most goals were leaked as a result of defenders missed passes, so they should have passing near direct.

As a result of these, team started passing the midfield very quickly. Team started to cover the picth and struggle everywhere to get the ball. I started scoring very easily.

GK - Need a GK with high concentration. There is no need to tell what GK needs as everyone knows.
DR and DL - They need good defansive attrbiutes and crossing. They will make around 5 assists per season.
DC(right) - He is the defender with less mentality. Needs to be better in air.
DC(left) - He has higher mentality. Needs to be faster.
MC(right) - He has more options in attack. Choose a player with better passing and long shots.
MC(left) - He is a classical DMC with running around and tackling.
AMR and AML - Classic winger with better dribbling and crossing.
SC(right) - Fast striker
SC(left) - Tall striker

Tips: Use "Time Wasting" in the last 30 minutes of the games. Increase it when opposition is attacking crazily. When you need a goal desperately, make team mantality top notch of attacking.

Tests:
Getafe Champions of La Liga in the first season
Fixtures
Player stats
(Media prediction 11th)
I bought Indio and Iversen at the begginning of the season. I bought Salihi and loaned Guardado in the midseason. I sold Redondo, Souza and Salazar. It was really hard but especially at home, I could beat any team easily, so it turned out to be easy to become champions. Wingers are crucial in this tactic.

You will like the way team pass around and create goals in any possession.

I am waiting for all your comments, results and tweaks
I wish success for all of you...

Loved CMAddict for '06 - I hope this is just as useful!

I'm currently developing my own tactic set at the moment, so won't be able to test it. Good luck though, because I can't stress enough how awsome Addict was!

Looks similar to the way Chelski play in my game. It really stands out when i watch games against them. Its fast becoming my favorite fixture.

Sadly i won't be using your tactic as im doing ok as it is, but good luck with it anyway mate  If its as good as the way Chelski play in my game it will go down well.

I will try your tactic and see how it goes. Quite impressive IMO to have won la liga with Getafe in the first season.

Likewise.

Good to see you on the forums again mate.

I'll definitely try this as it's the same shape as the tactic I'm currently using anyway.

Will report back.

Just finished my first season.
W-31 D-4 L-3 98 goals, 31 against for 97 points.
This has to be one of the best tactics I have tried before. Thank you very much for sharing!

This looks interesting and promising.

Eventhough this probably isn't suited for lower league sides, I'll give this one a try as MK Dons and report back. I might tweak something minor to make it suit for poor players that I have, but nothing major.
