depends what patch etc but you can usually get either barthez on a free or dudek..

as for midfield.. try diego gavilan or like AAAA4life says... denilson or diaby

Backup goalie, try Mannone from Arsenal or Brill from Luton. Both have dodgy mental stats and do make the odd mistake, but I had Brill in my first Chelski season and played him every League Cup match - we won the cup and he ended up with an avg of 8.20. Against some good teams, too - Man Yoo in the final, Gooners in the semis.

Both good reflexes and handling, so if you have a decent defense or playing a lower team they'll do okay. Low concentration and poor kicking, though. Ultimately, it'll depend on the board and fans' expectations as to whether you chance it.

Bigger purchases, try Geoffrey Jourden (check spelling - French youngster, challenging Frey within 5 years), or Kasper Schmeichael from Man City.
