Cleon, I and many others understand why the off topic thread was recently closed but I was wondering if it was possible if a restriction of part-timers and above would help persuade you to open a new Off topic thread as it seems that an amatuer was the driving reason behind the thread getting closed. I don't know if this is possible to limit people due to their rank but if you would agree to such terms I am sure many in the forum who's rank is sufficient would be delighted. If this is a bad idea don't hesistate to respond with a reason and close this thread.

If you have a suggestion like this email one of the mods, Its a terrible idea imo and probably couldnt be done. Everyone has to start somewhere and there are plenty of troublemakers who are not amateurs. This thread should just be locked.

i dont quite understand the reasoning behind the locking of the thread to be honest... granted i dont know the whole story... in act i dont know why or when it was closed...

but if im following correctly it was closed because a select few caused trouble..

seems like bad management of the thread to close it down completely and stop everyone else having use of what is clearly one of the most popular threads.

Could do it for Semi-pro's and above just to be safe.
