hi all, im villa 8.0.1, first season, first window.

I started a post a few days ago asking for a tall center forward, i got alot of good replays but all of the players i fancied didnt want to come to me (crouch, bendtner, zigic, adebayor)

ive now decided to go for a strong target man and can get berbatov for £20M!

i would play him as a lone striker with a LW and RW in support.

just after peoples opinions really.

ps if you have an alternative to suggest thats cool but im not interested in briand or martins

I would buy Berbatov but I would have an AML and a AMR instead of a basic right/left winger. Young and Agbonlahor could be good with him!

if berba signs ill just have carew on the bench for back up. also got gourcuff on loan from AC as back up for the right wing. things are slowly coming together!

Sounds like a plan. But tbh I always thought that Berbatov was grossly under-rated in the game. He's much better irl and that comes from an Arsenal fan.

Hence, there are better TM's than Berbatov in the game. Have a look at Amauri, Pazzini, Cavani & even Fred. I'm not sure who'll to come out of those though. Amauri, Cavani & Fred should all be available for under 20M. I'm sure about Pazzini.

And instead of Agbonlahor, I'd recommend getting Fernando Belluschi for your right wing. Much better. :thup:

i missed out on belluschi, made an offer to late, also i was trying to keep the suad as british as possible but that went out the window s it would be too expensive.

i had offers accepted for amauri and fred but they wouldn't come.

do you mean Fernando Cavenaghi? if so he's a possibility

No, I mean Edison Cavani from Palermo. Amazing player. The other one is Giampaolo Pazzini from Fiorentina.

ah, not heard of him but shall take a look, just tried pazzini but hes not interested either. ive got a feeling that berbatov is gonna turn me down even though ive given him the contract he wanted, it always seems to happen.
