I totally agree with the original poster. As I have said before If you buy a new car you don't expect it to have 4 wobbly wheels and a dodgy engine when you buy it. You certainly don't expect them to say "ok, come in in two months time and we will put some test tyres and a test engine in it until February and then hopefully we will give you the real thing then. By the way though a new model comes out in September!"

That's FM in a nutshell!

What about Manchester United's £28m transfer for Veron? Not to mention Sheva for £30m to Chelsea... Sort it out SI!! </BLOCKQUOTE>

Maybe because Schevchenko has scored 77 goals for crappy Ukraine, 60 for Dinamo Kiev and 127 for AC Milan. Slightly better record than Vassell who has scored 35 for Aston Villa and 11 for Man City. Duh?? Now can you see why one is priced higher than another.

As for Bolton, the highest transfer fee they have ever paid for a player is Anelka £8m, so how on earth could a club as small as that afford to pay £27m for any one player - or why would they? It would be suicide.

Fair point touche!!

Point I'm trying to get across is that ok a lot of people are happy with the game, but a lot of people aren't happy with the game.

If for years you have a solid fan base and the suddenly 50% aren't not happy then you do, or should ask yourself why!

End of.

SI make the game to cater for the demands and the benefits of the majority of the market, not for an individual; while FaceGen might be rubbish to you, for many others it's a great quirky and potentially sentimental feature.

For training; do you have any proof of this? If a player reaches their PA then they will not improve in training, but their ability will fluctuate over time. With good coaches, up until the age of about 30, players will continue to reach their PA, and after this point training is essential for maintaining stats and extending the playing career of players.

In reality, with ludicrous transfer fees going on all the time, how can we really know what is right? Is Darren Bent worth more than Thierry Henry. Look at how transfer fees have increased since the early 1990s and you will see how sharp the continual increase really is.

As for morale, it is really an essential part of football. Look at Arsenal at the moment; their form is based alot on team spirit. Look at the huddles at the end of the game, and the constant media speculation of a colapse at the first sign of defeat.

Team Talks certainly do have an effect, and I really don't see how you can say otherwise. If you win a game comfortably that you were expected to win beforehand, calling the team sensational is going to do wonders for moral, but unless the individual mental stats are there, players will no doubt become slack. Reserve the extremes for extreme cases.

Not really much more to say, except that you also cannot blame the game for your own bad luck; do you really believe the game would be programmed to score a goal when you click to make a transfer?

This post was made on behalf of the many, many people who are getting sick and tired of petty criticisms by people who believe that the game is screwing them over because of a few bad results and slight bugs that cannot be denied or ignored, but do certainly not make the game unplayable, or even very much less wonderful, in my very honest own personal opinion.
I'll echo those thoughts.. bang on with that assessment.

i agree i still think this is the best version of FM but i think there can still be improvements and bugs to be ironed out but you have to realise as well the people who post on this board are a very small minority to the people playing the game and tbh if i didnt come onto these forums i wouldnt have noticed any bugs in this version

That's because you don't care if it's realistic or not, other people do.

Its the same every year. These forums are always filled with complaints when a new version is released. And every year it is the same comments. "I wont ever buy a SI title again" and "Last years release was so much better" is the classics.

That's FM in a nutshell!
You might not expect it, but that's exactly what does happen. When you buy a new car, a new issue of a model or a entirely new production vehicle, you run the risk that the car is full of bugs. For example, an old issue of a popular car had, when bought as new, the possibility that the stereo would short out; the air conditioning would fail; the brakes would leak fluid; the brakes would fail; the passenger air bag would randomly deploy; the exhaust would drop off; the chassis crack; the engine to rattle and the fuel tank to corrode. This was on a new model of a car that had been in production for several years.

And this is common.

So the manufacturers 'patch' the vehicles until the next issue of the model, where they hope to have ironed out their bugs.

Car analogies don't work.

(Never buy a brand new model of a car and expect it to be perfect, and when buying used, check with the AA for all the recall notices issued on that model and vin number.)

i assume thats aimed at me if not just ignore my response, i cant see how unless you have some very weird spy camera setup in my house you would know if i care about realism or not which of course i do or i would go get fifa manager or dig out USM , the game is the most realistic game on the market and obviusly if what is happening on your game is happening its worrying but so far mine is ok maybe a few to many goals but when that is toned down it should be good P.S. still waiting on those screenshots also did bolton spend any more money and what year are you in?
