Seriously, I love FM I always have, at the same time I have always got irked with the bugs especially in FM2007. However what really annoys me is that SI DON'T LEARN!!
Why, Why, Why do every year we get a game that has hardly changed yet it has more bugs in than ever? FM2008 has more bugs that really affect the gameplay than any version before. Too many to list but....
Goals being scored by the Opposition as soon as you go into your tactic screen.
Defenders doing an impression of a statue.
My Goalkeeper passing beautifully to an opposition striker on a regular basis.
Ridiculous high Transfer Fees (a la 2007!)
Being unable to get rid of players (a la 2007)
Team Talks : One criticism and you have a Mutiny on your hands!
The Board getting miffed with you if you lose two in a row.
And numerous other points that many other people are mentioning on these Forums.
People say well go to the Tactics Forum,,, I did, and I asked people to take a look at my tactics and could they please advise me so I can have a bit more luck with the game. I haven't had one reply!!
It happens year after year. SI brings a game out, which quite frankly is c***. So they bring a patch out, and another patch out, and another...... Then they say well it is save game compatible but to get all the features start a new game. So you do in about February, and in September time they bring another game out with as many bugs in it as the previous one!! So you get about 7 months game time with a half decent game! That isn't right.
I wouldn't mind so much if SI learnt but as I have said before they don't.
The problem is they don't have any Competition so it's east bringing out so much tripe. I'm a Painter and Decorator. There is a lot of competition around here so if I do a c*** job people will go elsewhere. SI are lucky in that respect but sooner or later someone will bring out a good Management sim and SI will have to look at where they are going.
If you buy a new car you don't expect it to have 4 wobbly wheels and a dodgy engine when you buy it. You certainly don't expect them to say "ok, come in in two months time and we will put some test tyres and a test engine in it until February and then hopefully we will give you the real thing then. By the way though a new model comes out in September!"
They should just have updated 2007 for this season in a data update and worked and tested on a new game until it actually worked!!!
