What's the worst youth player anyones ever had that's come good? Once they hit 18 if I don't rate them then I get rid of them ASAP, am I better off letting them see out more of their contracts and then selling them on when they've improved a bit?

Depends really.

If you are with limited resources I always find it useful to keep hold of them. Sometimes, following a loan, distinctly average players ability and value shoot up!

I usually keep most youngsters to 20 unless it is pretty obvious they will never make it at the level I am playing at.

I try to hold on to them for ages, just loaning them out for their values to increase until a nice sale comes about.

I did that for a Chilean regen who looked like he wasn't going to become much, brought him back from loan at 25 and he became a fantastic AML. I used him for four seasons then sold him for 28mil to Real madrid.

i tend to be able to tell if a player is going to be anything by the time their 18 years old. wehter they joined as a 16 or an 18 year old if they're not looking any good by 18 then i get rid of them.
some of them i hold on until 21-22 and still they dont realise the potnetial i thought they had, others become good(pa160 roughly) others are amazing (pa198)
