Maybe the more you've earned the more highly you are respected among other managers and teams and more likely you are to be offered a job by another team.

| Totally agree. You should be able to buy some stupid stuff like cars and houses, etc. Something to make it a little fun.

i agree that there is no real reason for your pay, but if your club does give out compensation when you are sacked, then why do you not get bonuses if you win the league or cups
my players have shared over 40 mill in bonuses in my first 2 seasons, but as manager i got zilch, yet i won 1 league, 1 league cup, and 1 european cup

Fact of the matter is that it's another small step towards complete reality within the game, real life managers care about how much they've earnt and are earning, so the game should make you care atleast a little. Otherwise you'd be offering to work for nothing so that you could have the money for players wages.

i do like the fact that you get to see how much you've earnt as a manager, but was mostly wondering if there was another reason behind it, and the hall of fame idea with regards to wages is good, but open to abuse by people constantly starting in the big league and staying there for thier careers rather than starting in the lower leagues

You don't do anything with your personal money. If you wan't to buy a house or something like that play the sims.
The total manager earnings was probably added because there were numerous threads asking for such a feature in the past. I think it's absolutly briliant. Of course not all players keep this score, some would like to have a basic ideea on how much they've made over their careear.
I understand why there are no national wages for manager: they don't affect anything, the wage from the club goes into the teams bill so that's important, but it would still be nice to see how much you're making at the national team.
In short, the reason for this feature is this: "ME HAVE BIG EGO". It's very nice. I like it.

You should be able to save up and buy a club so at the end of your career if you are good you might be able to buy.... Leeds Utd or someone. Why you ask <shrugs>
