What exactly is the effect of a player playing out of position? Say for example that I have a MC and I put him at striker, where he is listed as Ineffectual. Will the game compensate for this by "reducing" his attributes? Intuitively I would think that certain attributes, like positioning, passing and decisions would be reduced for a player playing out of position, because he's not used to playing striker. But I would think that physical attributes like pace and jumping wouldn't be reduced by playing out of position (because it's not like playing further up the pitch is going to make the guy slower). Is this intuition correct, or am I way off?
