First time I've seen this:
I'm managing at Man Utd. I sign Lionel Messi. I no longer need or want Maxi Rodriguez. Offer him to clubs and set his squad status as Not Needed. Everton come in with 12.5 million. I'm happy with that. All is good and well. Next thing, the pratt asks for us to pay him 10 000 a week for the next two years or he's not going to go!!!

Yes, true to real life, players wish for you to compensate them if they have to take a pay cut with another club. As you're Man U, there shouldn't be any problem with you being able to afford this.

I wouldn't try it with Utd, they are incredibly fragile finanically in game and you need to watch your outlays unless you are winning the EPL or CL consistently.

Actually, this approach to offloading a player is not available often enough, IMHO.

If i remember correctly, Chelsea were paying 70% of Veron's wages when they sold him to Inter and possibly Crespo too.

Well with loaning out players you can send them to your feeder clubs and then you pay the full amount of their wages...that's what I do.

I thought it had been taken out of the TBH, nice to see I was wrong.

IIRC though it never works if you we're the buying club as I never had a player join with a subsidised salary.
