You can't usually. You'd need to use the editor.

This wouldn't work at all. Manager's buy certain players in January based on what has happened in the first half of the season. Since you will have an entirely different season, with different players in form, out of form or injured then some players would arrive in January and get stuck in the reserves, while other moves that would be better will get ignored because the money is already spent.

You can do it, but you will have to use the pre-game editor.

There should not be any transfer funds in the first season, you just play a season like the real deal
