I've started experimenting with creating my own skin graphics as the next step on from re-colouring and panel editing. I was originally unsure how to ensure the titlebar displayed the right colour for clubs/competitions, since I suspected they had to be a particular shade of orange, but a little trial and error showed me that it coloured automatically, regardless of the colour of my titlebar graphics (phew).
However, I've noticed that I get slight colour variations in game depending on the colour I've used to create my original shapes - nothing major, but enough to make me wonder if there's a "right" way to do it. So I was wondering, what colour values do those of you making good skins start from for titlebar shapes, and is there a base colour that gives the most "pure" colours in game?
Thanks for the reply. I'd had a look at the Metallic skin as a starting point, but the titlebar graphics in there have a colour gradient, making it impossible to determine what the base was (so I could apply my own gradients to that). In any case, I've got something close enough from that, so I won't worry about it any further.
