Not really although you probably could have just deleted the folder for the skin instead of the sports interactive folder

It's not clear whether the problem was with FM2005 or the gold demo. If the latter then deleting the contents of the data\cache\<language> folder might have solved the problem. If the former then I suspect there wasn't a quicker way.

i think the skin was the problem, you just needed to delete the folder of the skin and that should have sorted it.
