Actually you don't have to do that, I have it in a folder I called utilities (with other stuff like MCM) load it and it should locate the game for you and follow the very simple instructions, put in your bank balance and then REMAINING transfer budget and press search, it will give you your complete finance breakdown, edit away then click save...then go check your new figures....easy...only cheating if you get caught.

When I used it said it couldn't find the data I posted (which were in pounds).
I don't know if this program is compatible with the last patch. And I couldn't find anywhere the site or email of whoever made it.
I'm assuming its the FM05finances1.03(english) editor. The game has to be running, so load the game and write down the 2 needed figures and load the editor, then from the drop down menu select FM2005 and input the figures and click search. I have tested this over 100 times and it alwasy finds what I want, you can even edit yoor sponsorship figures, after editing click save and go look in the game at your new figures. Easy.
