Default Club Vs. Country

I wonder if this is at all possible?

I set England to be winner of the FA cup, so that England and Chelsea were the community shield competitors. However, England had the fixture in their fixture list, while Chelsea didnt, it crashed on match day.

Must be a way (apart from actually creating a seperate england "club" team).

Would doubt it.

If you set up a friendly, you can pick any club team in the game, by searching for them. When you look at them, the option is there at the bottom right to invite for friendy. Trying this for national teams, however, doesn't give the option.

I guess we'd had to ask for this option to be included in the next FM. It will crash 'cause some players would be eligible for both teams playing each other. Priority would need to be set for what team a player could play - either Chelsea or England.

errr... not quite. When I attempted Brazil it crashed. The fixture simply wasnt in Chelseas fixture list, whereas it was in England (who had their chelsea players withdrawn) and Brazil's fixture list.

Well, then if you like to experiment a little, change the Premiership winner for e.g. Brazil. We'd know if nations can play in club competitions (if it didn't crash).
For the time being, let's just think of two possibilities:
a) nations can't play in club competitions (and vice versa, probably)
b) nations can't play clubs

In case a) was true, there might be a chance to play club vs country.

It is possible.
Create a new team called England.
Make some world class players or add current England players.
Put them in the Premiership instead of Sunderland for example or in the CHampionship instead of Watford.

If you use imagination and a huge device which stimulates your imagination to 1 trillion times that of normal forum posters, it would still be a club side, thus defeating the object.

It would be easy to just name a club England, but to have England vs team would be cool.

I mean, teams regularly do it when they play in Asia!
