The Idea:
Basically my idea was to tyr and move away from the 4-4-2 and be adventurous. Trying not to follow guidelines and tactics bibles, I attempted to create a balanced tactic.
The Implementation:
Tried to keep it simple and have each player play there part. I decided to go quite defensive in the tactic itself and make player instructions not vary to much from normal, except in defence.
The formation just sort of came to me from remembering it working in 01/02. The idea is to have the striker upfront hold up the ball, then have the wingers run into the box, a short ball is played and bang, you've scored.
That's a picture of the tactic.
Overall I Think it is working well. Did well in friendlies and I thought I would post it just so other people can have a look and test it out, possibly tell me the problems they find so I can solve them.
I find myself that you will dominate possession and you will pass well. You should score on the counter and keep the opposition out of the game for long periods.
Just thought I would give my thoughts on this tactic.
Anyway I am Rangers as well and have used this tactic for 2 games which I watched closely. The first game was away to Kilmarnock. It started well with me keeping possesion but not really making much chances. After about 20 mins I got a long range goal from Buffel(it was nice) and as soon as play resumed Kilmarnock took possession. Which is when I noticed that the midfield wasn't really getting back at all, Kilmarnock seemed to dominate in midfield and they got a goal! I did not make any changes to the tactic of any subs. When into the second half and again Kilmarnock won the ball in midfield most of the time. Luckily I scored another goal from a corner which Rodrigues put away, and the final score was 2-1 to Rangers, but it wasn't that convincing. Im not good with tactics or creating tactics, but you should look into the midfield issue and see if their is a way to maybe bring the wingers back a little bit, which may help the midfield situation.

Might be possible to take off the arrows, or take down the mentality.
Yeah, it may also benefit to get rid of one of the MC's and make him a DMC, but then that would limit the chances you can make from midfield. Again am no tactical magician, but it is just something for you to have a look at. The tactic is good, and im sure with a little tweaks it can be great.
