I Used to base my tactics on being defensive then hiting teams on the break, in my first season I won FA Cup Prem and CL. I used to get so many clean sheets and had best defensive record in prem. Now i jst concede and concede, Ive tried changin my tactics but nothings workin, just always concedin, any1 got the same problems and no wot i can do to change it?
You need to study the match engine again when you play. Try something different, go read the patch observations thread.
I have had no problems with the patch, in fact, I now create more chances than before my defensive record is awesome. You need to read the thread I just mentioned to pick up some good ideas. I don't think the patch in itself ruined your tactics, you just don't understand that mentality now has a bigger effect on tactics than before
I dont know if u read that tactics thread, maybe that's because u r overachieving, AI pays you more respect, and play you more defensively, and there is no so many chances for you to hit them on a break. This happened to me, it could be happenning to you.

I read and started that thread and I am still bloody struggling!
Seriously AdZV, if you did well before you will suss it out again.
Just try to give it all a fresh look. I'm going to take a couple of days off the game I think, then go back and start my tactics all over again.

It's funny - I experienced the same. Won the PL with Mike Pollitt playing head and shoulders above everyone else in the league , but Heskey was top scorer in my team with only 11 goals.
After patch my formation was suddenly a very attacking formation.
But if you take time to watch a few games, you can sort things out again.
