Version 3 of this tactic is the best yet
IMO.
2nd season found me topping the
Prem but still struggling to get good results against the best sides in the EPL & Europe.
I read a post by Sir Bobby ay the bottom of this page
Here
And as a result I thought I'd give his ideas on Maximum Time wasting a shot.
I've changed nothing from the original tactic except pushing the Time Wasting slider to the max.
The results have dranatically improved & I won the treble easily.
Everyone seems to be at a loss to explain why this works but there can be no doubt that it does.
Do a little test & see for yourself.
I tried a test on a tricky 3 match run playing Arsenal at home & 2 away games against Chelsea (League & Cup).
With the default time wasting the results were not great 1-1 against Arsenal & 2 losses against Chelsea 4-1 & 3-1.
With Max time wasting I beat Arsenal 4-0 & Chelsea 2-0 twice.
I left the tactic like this for the remainder of the season & found the results to be consistently good.
Other people have tested this & found similar results with short passing counter attacking tactics.
The strange thing is that I cant detect any actual time wasting from my players except maybe right at the end of a game.
Nor do any of the performances of the players or play seem dramatically increased either.
It just seems to make you score more & concede less.
Previously I had been utilising the idea of dropping the wingers to DMC's with arrows when losing out in midfield to very strong teams, now I haven't neede to do that at all.
