It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

One thing you should really change are the corner and throw-in settings.

Been caught out a few times with throw-ins going astray and the opposition scoring on the break.

I'm going to try the old settings from FM2005 to see if it helps.

For those who don't know on corners you knock it to your best long shots player on outside the box and all the other players bar 2 or 3 sit on the far post.

On throw-ins make sure you assign you best long throw takers and then put the best header/jumper on the near post. Just make sure you leave some defs back.

I am using your tactic v2 with some slight modifications. If you remember, as I posted earlier, I am in charge of Championship side Hull. Actually around march, I got fired becase I was not winning matches. So I created a new manager and took over the same club (I know, I know, it is not good ). And what happende after these changes? I started winning, and in the last minute I nodded home the goal needed to clinch the 6th spot to qualify for playoffs. Which I won! Promotion!

I decided to give the tactic the rest of the season, with a couple of modifications this time. I read somewhere that to prevent fullbacks from crossing over the field, you should set them to have as offensive mentality as possible. So I did that.

Furthermore I pushed the defensive line all the way up. Creates big rooms behind my defence, but uptil now it has not caused the opposition throwing balls in behind my back four. I expect Arsenal to do so, with their pacey attack though...

And a third and final change I have done to your tactic, another tip that I read on these forums, is to let the DM have a free role, and with a defensive mentality.

These three changes have given me the extra little push I needed, since I was drawing to many games, and loosing as well. And as you could read when I posted my players, my weakest point in the squad was the left back, and I expect reinforcements in that position now this summer transfer window!

I am very happy that you get it going
Tweaking it to suit your team means success
I will try the idea of giving free role to DMC
I dont like pushing up my defense line

I think you should think about your strikers
Be careful
Left striker is dribbling and coming from back so put RuudvanNistelrooy on the left and Zigic on the right
