DAMC tactic - Blackburn topping league after 13 matches of premier
Hello all FM Addicts!
Created a tactic based on a tactic that my friends big brothers best friends uncle made for his son in law. Thought i start up with a joke. The tactic is to me my 2nd favorite tactic i have made myself and used. I feel that if you got good individual players, then you can get the most out of them using this DAMC. Use rather a strong Left winger like Esparza or Guardado (winger with defensive skills) than an attacky winger with low tackling. The tactic needs the support on midfield.
It contains one home tactic where you are more attacky with shorter passing mixed with slightly direct.
The other one is the away tactic which is more counter attack and direct style. DAMC stands for Double Attacking Mid Centre - so its main focus is to have two AMC´s disturbing opponents team game play or build up, as well as having more than just one or few attacking tools.
First month with Blackburn using this tactic i got Manager of month award, and won 3 straight wins. I know its not a miracle to do so first month, but still it is a good sign.
DAMC HOME
The idea of the home tactic is that you want more shots closer to opponents goal. I am from sweden, so bare with my sentences sometimes. Also, i want midfield, amc and striker to come up on the attack, so i dont need to rely on just the one or two strikers up front.
It looks a bit weak on the midfield, but i put a barrow on the MC and made him a bit more defensive in the mentality. I try to keep my whole team in line in mentalities, as many good tacticians have mentioned in other threads.
The left attacking midfielder is a bit more attacky (they are both attacky), but he is the one who should finish of scoring more than the right attacking midfielder. The ideal scene would be if you got a target man on the right, receiving balls, heading to striker and AMCleft, holding up ball and controlling the offense. It´s not always easy to find a AMC/FC target man that is good. The greatest in FM2007 is probably Julio Baptista. A good player for the AMC left is Adu, he scored plenty for my Spurs with this tactic. The right one (which dont need to be target man) you can use a smart player that will set up the offense nicely. Modric would work fine too, as well as a 100 others in the game..as long as he is a good assister or a powerman.
I have high closing down on the AMC, in order to make it hard for the opponent to get thru to the center or lower midfield (seen from my side). My defence i have used the formats that was talked bout in the defensive line thread (forgot the name of thread), where wwwfan, rashidi, cleon and other "yodas". The home tactic is fun football to watch i think, free flow and my team uses the pitch as much as possible in attack. In this tactic i play thru the middle, as i find it to be risk to play down flanks where wingers are pretty isolated (only 3 on midfield). Besides that, my AMC are in the middle and thats where i want stuff to happen. It is a pretty efficent tactic when it comes to shots on goal, a normal stat is 12 shots on goal / 7-8 on target.
DAMC Away
This one is more of a hit and run tactic, as we learned have worked best for FM07. You play direct with high tempo and counter attack is the key here. The counter attack seemed to be liked by the match engine in this FM07.
Vs really good teams it might be a good idea to man mark their good wingers (with your wingers) and also in opposition instructions close em down. I feel i dont have much of a choice if i play for example Utd with C.Ronaldo. I have to disturb and close him down as much as i can, and the opposition instructions is not always enough for me. To be honest the stats looks good away, i get a lot of shots on goal, and i think thats been the contributing factor to why i am doing good in league. When i go on attack, the whole team seems to follow. Seems to be that since my team setttins are set on defence and the formation is quite attacky, the whole teams comes up and supports the attacks. Short passes bang, bang and sometimes fun to watch the goals cuz it goes quick. In some games not much happens, so you might have to tweak a little bit, go one more notch more defensive and maybe go a little bit wider if you feel you are in control of the game. Lemme know if you find solutions, cuz i aint saying this is the greatest or the fully developed one, thats up to the beholders eye to judge, as all other tactics.
Another thing i will get to in this thread later on is my team players average ratings. I find it very important that my players got high average ratings across my team, because thats a good sign that the tactic improves players stats, performance or value. I will post an average ratings screenie here after 13 games. Note: Matt Derbyshire only played 2 matches so that explains his high ratings.
I am now 13 games into the league, and have conceeded least goals in Premier, even though the formation is quite attacky. Still yet i dont think i got any great defenders, Khizanishvili is doing ok.
One thing i make clear now once and for all, i never save and restart the game, i keep going on. I feel that Eddie Johnson has held my team up why, and that makes up for the difference or the luck i had to be nr 1 in Premier. He seems to be superb first year in FM07. However, i doubt i can keep my spot as first in premier, but i think i have a chance to end up top 4, which is good for first year with BLackburn. I tried Blackburn with 3 other tactics, ended up 9th as best with a simple 442 i made from before.
Interesting in this tactic is that i put Eddie Johnson as target man and he plays AMC left, which is the more attacky AMC one (if i am not mistaken). Okaka would also be great there, and Vela perfect, and other AMC/FC with target man skills As mentioned above. To have a great target man in the left AMC position gives the lone Striker space and movement and Benni McCarthy and Derbyshire been great running around free picking up balls and receiving them depending on game play.
Off course Guardado has an important role on my team in future, but Gamst Pedersen is even better. Emerson has done better on the right wing than Bentley, which shouldnt happen, but that just explains that its important to not always think that a winger should be attacky one, particularly not in away games, where closing down and turn around game play is more important.
I would also like to try to take off counter attack at home, put offside trap on instead. Keep the counter attack on in away games.
Lemme know what you think, i will post the tactics in the Forums. When i get time to develop it I will, usually very busy working or doing other stuff with family. Or playing FM at nights hehe...
Lemme know what you think and what changes u would like to it, to make it work better.
I got screenshots, but dont know how to post them here, can i send them to someone that can post them i would be appreciated.

I'll see how it goes, I'm in my second season with Blackburn, was doing very well early on, thought I had a good tactic but come January the pathetic AI put paid to that so I'm hopefully going to resurrect my season with this one......I'll come back if it goes well
Thanks again
