My suggestion is to never have any training schedule which ends up being "Heavy", but always have it on the last click of "Medium" *. For youth players, slightly more emphasis on fitness, yes. As soon as they are out of my under-18 team though, they start on their corresponding senior team's training schedules.
* After 2 weeks, check to see if each player is happy with their schedule. A few will be complaining that it's too much, so make a lighter schedule of the original for them, by simply clicking down each silder one notch.
