Alves will solve the problem RB spot, but make sure you unsellte him to make him cheaper. Cambiasso will be a useful squad player. Micah Richards can easily score 10 goals a season if you know how- which the AI does. de Guzman (the better one) is amazing yet unheard of.
Try 4-2-2-2. A back four of Alves/Essien (if you don't get Alves) Terry Carvalho Cole
Ballack and preferably Essien as CMs, but any of your current team will be fine as will de Guzman or Cambiasso.
Robben AML Cole AMR
Drogba with either Shevchenko or Villa.
Don't be put off by Ballack and Shevchenko's performances IRL- Ballack scored 12 goals last season, Shevchenko got 40, and neither was guarteed a place.

Wouldn't sell him, hes a brillant player and massive tutor talent for youngsters (lke Michael Woods who is in your under18 team). Definately stick with him, you should have enough funds to attract big names.
