Good players but won't fit into a midfield already overloaded with talent. Might as well invest your money on other areas. Though of course, you can sell Ballack, Makelele, Diarra, etc of course..

I would get a right back, D. Alves my fav choice, 2 new strikers (Villa, Adriano, etc) and a backup left winger, normally Guardado. And a new centre back, Richards, Chivu, etc.

Just started as Chelsea......tired of having no budget to play with.....

Transfers in:-

Alves, Rafinha, Modric, Zapater, Villa, Celsinho and Sapara

Transfers Out:-

Ferreira, Johnson, Makelele and Joe Cole

Obi Mikel, Celsinho, Kalou, Diarra, Sapara and Sidwell have been made available for loan...

I play a 4-2-2-2 target man formation, it's been quite succesful got me the La Liga title after one season with Zaragoza and the Championship title with Charlton (playing on the latest Weegie update)....

Squad

GK Cech / Cudicini
DL Cole / Bridge
DR Alves / Rafinha
DC Terry / Ben Haim
DC Carvalho / Alex
AML Robben / Malouda
AMR Wright-Phillips / Modric
MCd Essien / Zapater
MCa Lampard / Ballack
TM Drogba / Pizarro
FS Villa / Shevchenko

With this game I haven't really gone in for any youth as you've got so much money you might as well buy them when they're ready for the first team........plus Chelsea have only got a "Good Youth" set up and so you won't really get the best out of any youngsters until the 3rd of 4th season when the youth facilities finally get upgraded.....

Just started pre-season and have won both games against Legia 5-0 and Club Brugge 3-1 at home....

Oh yeah, you may want to look to purchase backups for the african players... they have a tendency to go missing for months at a time, and in the case of drogba that could be a huge problem.

I find when playing iwht big clubs it's much more fun to instead of just buy the worlds best players. Only bring in people under the age of 20, and try to build a super-team like Fergie did at Man Utd in the 90's.

Into season 3 so far and have reached the stage where 15/22 of my first-team are players I brought in myself at the beginning, with another 4/5 players out on loan who will be first team material by next season.
