All the last 3 are outside my price range (it's April 2007 in game time, so we're out of the transfer window anyway);
Lloyd Doyley is worth £825K and with Watford who are comforatbly mid-table in the Premiership, although he has only played 8 games for them this season.
Justin Hoyte is worth £325K and still with Arsenal, might be willing to move to me, having only started 9 games (plus 4 subs) this season in all competitions.
Neal Eardley is worth £170K and is seemingly having a decent season with Oldham. He's listed as an important first team player, so I doubt Oldham would let him go on the cheap.
I will keep an eye on these players as they could always come in handy later on.
I ended up signing James Fowler when he chose QPR, the table-toppers ahead of Leicester who were stuck in mid-table. He's made the RB slot his own ever since, because Bignot got himself injured for 4 months just after the transfer window closed and he's stepped up to the plate very well.
Also because Watford put in a bid for Andrew Cave-Brown, I couldn't get away with just a loan deal, so I bid for him and following a player sale, managed to get enough cash together to afford the £40K fee. He's had a couple of games in the first team, but mainly plays in the reserves.
Looks as though I'll go up as Champions... 6 games to go and 11 points clear of West Brom in 2nd... I'd have to massively muck it up from here. Although I have no idea how I'm going to fare without the quality loan signings, Vermeer (Ajax), Anichebe (Everton), McGurk (Villa), Jimmy Smith and Mancienne (both Chelsea) - the latter two being there at the start of the game... looks as though the summer will be spent trying to pick up some frees.
