Is it really a neccessary stat for a striker to have???

What does it determine ???

Imo it's probably one of the most important stats for strikers if not THE most important. It's certainly something i always look for in an attacking player, probably mostly due to the fact that those with a low composure make me go mental at my poor comp when they blast sitters wide.

i belive it affects a players ability to keep calm in front of goal and make the right decision. A player with high finishing and composure is a joy to watch

Composure,in theory, is supposed to determine whether or not a striker will buckle and miss 1 on 1's with the GK. However there are too many 1 on 1 situations in the match engine so even players with a high composure attribute miss these a lot,otherwise there would be very high score-lines in every match.

Eddie Johnson currently only has 9 for composure,but is a goal machine in the SPL AND the Champions League. Composure, imo, is nowhere near the most important attribute for a striker.

Antonio Floro Flores has 7 for composure and 18 finishing. He knocked in 18 goals in Serie A for my Juventus side last season. Not such a bad return for any player in that league.

I think it's quite important, but no more so than finishing. Just play a few game with Ole Solskjaer if you disagree. :cool:

Just a quick theoretical question .....If you have a Forward with 1 for Finishing and 20 for Composure and other Forward with 20 for Finishig and 1 for Composure.....Who is better and who will score more often?

Easily the 20 finishing striker.

Composure is important, but it doesn't HAVE to be 20.

Many strikers do superb with just 12-17 composure (assuming technical stats are good)

aim for >15 for both composure and finishing in a striker.

Anticipation is a key stat i always look for in a striker
