I'm starting my 2nd season with Man City. I finished 2nd in the league in my 1st season and won the FA Cup.

I brought in Ottl for free and since I've never used him before, is he good enough for a chanmpions league side? I loaned Hamsik last season and he did pretty well for me.

My back-up DM is M.Johnson.

He's decent backup but I wouldnt want him as my first choice DM. Not good enough imo.

Makoun declined my offer and went to Roma for 9.5M.
Veloso isn't interested in coming.
Lucas is very interested but will cost around 17M.
Flamini will cost around 4M.

Should I go for Lucas? 24M transfer fees left, and 500K below wage budget.

I need a DM with v high tackling. My DM is the only thing that stops attacks before it gets to my defence.

Flamini is good at 4M. See how much Lassanna Diarra will cost. He's excellent too.

All of them are excellent DM's. If you dont need to strengthen in other positions, then I'd say get Lucas for even 17M. But if you need the money to get other players, then go for one of the above.

lorik cana. hes awesome. if not get lucas. imo, the dm is a very important part of a team and you need the best possible player there.

Lucas is brilliant. If the rest of your team is solid enough or you could raise funds by selling a couple of players, then I'd definitely get him.

Okay, I'm in November 8th, season 2.
I offered 20M for Lucas but they didn't accept it.

I'm going to try and unsettle him since Liverpool bought Zapater and they're not playing Lucas much.

I'll be willing to spend upto 20M on him since I've recieved a HUGE amount from sales.

Corluka - 50M + 50% next sale (40M of it was after next int. app.)
M.Richards - 50M + 50% next sale (40M of it was after next int. app.) - 8M of the 50M went to Oldham
Dunne - 10M (Board accepted)
Samaras - 9M
Bojinov - 7M
I.Miller - 6M
Petrov - 5M
Stancu - 5M (Board accepted)

Total recieved - £134M

Behrami - 12M
Taiwo - 10.5M
Zapata - 10M (Udinese got relegated, tried to get Felipe too, they wont sell him)
Menez - 9.25M
Otti - free
