Default Ridleys Barmy Army

Just before i do this thread, i was just wondering if hereford are classed as a LLM team, (they are in league 2 and because my laptop is not very powerful, i could not select any other leagues). Would like a pretty quick response if possible

The start of an era..

A Little Bit of History

Thanks to Wikipedia for help with the club history

Hereford United were founded in 1924 with the merging of two local clubs St Martins and RAOC (Rotherwas), with the intention of sustaining a higher class of football in the city of Hereford. Hereford have won relatively few honours in their history, the most recent silverware being the 2006 Conference Play-off Champions, 1976 Third Division Championship and the 1990 Welsh Cup. They became synonymous with giant-killing in the FA Cup after their memorable defeat of Newcastle United, in the 1971-72 FA Cup whilst still a Southern League team. They have been nicknamed 'The Whites', after their predominantly white kit, and the 'The Bulls' after the local breed of cattle. The club's motto is "Our greatest glory lies not in never having fallen, but rising when we fall".

Hereford United play their home games at Edgar Street and they have done ever since the club formed in 1924. Hereford installed floodlights in March 1953, before such clubs as Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United !. In 1974 the ground was the only one outside the First Division with two cantilever-roof stands. In those days the ground's official name was Edgar Street Athletic Stadium; there was a running track around the pitch. This explains the curious curved "dead" areas behind each goal and in front of the terraces, and the extreme width of the pitch where the old track was turfed over to produce one of the League's widest pitches. In far more recent years the ground has been central to Hereford's financial troubles, with the previous owners of the club handing the leases over to a development company to whom they owed a large debt.

2007/08 - Hereford United - Coca-Cola League 2

With the board predicting of relegation i thought they were stupid. I had high hopes for a team with good potential, and with a few loanees i did remarkably well. I finished top of the league with my striker (on loan from manchester united), scored over 40 goals in the league. I was awarded manager of the year, my striker won top goalscorer and my young right winger won second place in young player of the season.

Final Position: 1st

2008/09 - Hereford United - Coca-Cola League 1

Again a board prediction of relegation and facing the likes of Leeds i new this would be a hard season, but again i defied the odds and managed a remarkable 2nd place. With Swansea and Milwall being promoted with me and not Leeds who only managed to come mid-table. I signed 10 players (7 in total on loan throughout the season).

Final Position: 2nd

2009/10 - Hereford United - Coca-Cola Championship

Yes.. for the third season in a row my board predict relegation and this time it might be true. Middlesborough are the biggest team in the league and i expect they will be favourites for promtion. So far i have signed a few people who were out of contracts and signed a new goalkeeper from Manchester United. I will post the end of season update tommorow hopefully.

Good grief, what's difficult to understand about "updates shouldn't be posted until after three seasons have been completed"?

A League 2 update, successive promotions with Hereford, and posting updates after two seasons...

...and they wonder why the place doesn't appear friendly?

As you have them loaded what's wrong with starting in BS N/S?

Well done on your promotions but starting two leagues higher than your lowest loaded division is pushing the boundries of acceptability.

I thought you said in your original post that as your laptop is not powerful enough that is a reason why you are starting in L2 as you cannot select any other leagues. But here you say you do have all English tiers loaded, so why have you not started in the BSS or BSN
