Question: How could the assistant not see that the ball crossed the line!? Replays showed that it wnet over. What are your thoughts on the introduction of goal-line technology?

Criteria: Disallowed goal - did the ball cross the line.

Possible answers:
- Lets just get rid of the referee and assistants on the field of play and just let the commentators decide, they have several instant replays and always make the right decision, I like that Andy Gray bloke.
- That was a truly awful decision, it has cost us, ruined our season! The authorities really need to introduce something.
- Sod goal-line technology, why couldn't their defender have just been honest, it was blatantly over.
- I'm not really sure, I can see that it might have some benefits, but I am a bit of a traditionalist.
- No, I don't think so.

Something like...

Question: This is not the start you had hoped for. Is the chairman putting pressure on you to get results?

Criteria: After first transfer window. Performing lower than board expectations. Insecure job status.

Possible answers:
I put pressure on myself to succeed. No one else comes into it.
None at all. PERSON B and I have a great working relationship.
The only pressure is from you guys and your stupid questions.
Do you fancy swapping jobs?
There is bound to be pressure when you're not getting results.
You will have to ask him that. I have no idea.

Question: Did you think the red card today was justified?

Criteria: Player gets sent off for no apparant reason.

Possible answers:
- I think the ref today was just awful. I really question his ability to do his job properly. (Answer most likely to get censure from FA)
- I wasn't satisifed with him today, but I won't say anything more as the FA might just call me up to explain my comments. (Probably get only a warning from FA)
- I didn't see the incident to be honest.
- Such things happen I suppose. We can't expect refs to be right all the time. They're only human after all.

Question: Last time you faced [team B] they walked all over you. Do you think you have a chance of a better outcome in this game?

Criteria: Lost last competitive match against opposition

Possible Answers:
- Lets face it, they got lucky! That wont happen today.
- That was then, this is now. We have every chance of winning this game.
- We lost the last game, but I don't feel that they "walked all over us". It could go either way today.
- I have no comment at this time.
- We struggeled to keep up with them during the last game, but the situation is different now. We'll give them all we've got.
-It's not going to be easy as [team B] are still a strong side, I just hope we can make a difference out there.
- I just hope the boys can follow the gameplan today. I'd like to see a more even match today regardless of the result.

Question: Last time you faced [team B] you walked away with a win. Do you think you have a chance of repeating that outcome in this game?

Criteria: Won last competitive match against opposition

Possible Answers:
- Yes! We're even better now then we were then.
- I can see us winning this game. [team B] may have made a dew changes from the previous match, but I feel very confident.
- We won the last game, but this is a different game. It could go either way today.
- I have no comment at this time.
- There are no guarantees in football. Even though we won the last one we've got to stay sharp out there.
-It's not going to be easy as [team B] are still a strong side, I just hope we can make a difference out there.
- You really can't compare this game to the previous match as things have chnaged drastically. I hope we can win, but if we end up losing I at least want to give them a good run.

Question: Will your ever growing list of injuries affect the match against [team B] today?

Criteria: [X amount] of players on the injury list.

Possible Answers:
- Not really. We have the strength in depth to cover our current injuries. Expect us to play like we always do today.
- I can see us winning this game even with the injuries we have.
- It wont be esay, but if the lads can take a step up and perform as a unit we should get through it ok.
- I have no comment at this time.
- Injuries are a part of profesional football. Even though we're missing a few players we have to try to stay sharp out there.
- This injury crisis is totally unrealistic and has left us bereft of too many starting players. I hope we can win, but if we end up losing I wont be too suprised.
- Win or lose today, we just can't afford another injury.

Question: Your defence has been a bit shoddy of late, do you think your defensive stability will be better against [team B] today?

Criteria: For some reason the team hasn't been closng down lately.

Possible Answers:
- Yes. I've installed the Beta patch and i'm confident that will iron out our previous issues.
- We better improve today! Or I might just have to find a forum to vent my frustrations to the Creator!
- I've spent a copius amount of time reading about football tactics and I think I've figured it out. Expect to see some magic out there today.
- Sod off! Jeez these media questions are getting tedious!
- Well...actually, we've had to postpone the game as it turns out our misfortunes on the pitch was caused by several bugs having taken refuge in our stadium. We've been reliably informed that the exterminator will be with us next week.
- No, I fully expect us to lose this game.
- You've already asked me this question, and as I said last time it doesn't really matter. I'll just exit and play the game again until I win.

Something else that could be fun:

If you're a manager with at least National reputation, and a good media-friendly-rating, you could get invited to be an analyst for a TV-broadcast match (Champions League or the national team).

Nothing too fancy, just an extension of the "attend" feature, but with a media question about who you think will win before the match and at half-time, and about who deserved to win after the match. (Or maybe about who the key player was.)

When done sparingly, this could be a fun little break from the day-to-day gameplay.

I totally agree boys - this is an area that does need some fresh injection.
I get a tad bored with the same questions week after week.
