Illdisposed

As the title says: My game freezes when Processing and showing matches.

I've noticed the processing time has increased (I've got it on fastest) during my time playing FM 08. I'm currently in the 2016/2017 Season.

But now when the game is showing a game it also freezes! usually for like 10-20 seconds.

Computer Specs: Pentium 4 3.00 Ghz Processor. 102 MB RAM - (nVidia GeForce 6800)

I'm running 8.0.1
I've also got iTunes open when i play, but theres no difference if it's open or closed while i play FM 08..

I've used Disc Fragmentation but that hasn't helped at all. I Don't know what to do.. (Formatting my computer isn't an option)

I need some tips on how to fix this! it's ruining my enjoyment of the game.. :/

i think its just because you have gone so far into the game, the proccesor has to process so much data. i had the same thing happen to me in my 2014 season, but then again my laptop isnt as good as yours.

Check your CPU usage. Is it high during the freeze?

i know nothing about computers btw

how come it needs to process more data, isnt it roughly same ammount of players/mathes and teams

Yeah but you also have the accumulated history to deal with (uses more RAM) and I'm fairly sure that random bits and pieces of useless data get kept in the save that doesn't need to be there.

However, a 3Ghz CPU should fly through FM so I am wondering if something else is causing the freeze. If FM is busy processing then so be it. If not then we have to work out why it's pausing at a silly time.

When it freezes it says "Program isn't responding"

CPU switches a lot during playing. Usually when it slows down it's around 80%+

sometimes mine used to freeze but i had a lot of music games ect. on my pc so i backed up my gamesave and formatted (i know you said it isnt an option but just giving my 2 cents) dont know if it was clear the hardrive or getting rid of a virus but it went back fine and no problems since

It's highly unlikely to be a virus. "My" computer is from my parents work, and they've got some tight security, i don't even get spyware or anything close to it!

My computer is pretty clean when it comes to programs running in the background. Theres the standard Windows + iTunes and some extremely low CPU Programs running.

I'm not to sure what you mean with "music games" sry..
