This is very good but there are questions regarding Real Madrid being in such a low league.

Clearly past performances are taken into account as, otherwise, I can't see why Liverpool would be so high.

Both teams have historically been very successful with Real Madrid being the most successful team on the continent and yet it has to battle sides such as Partizan Belgrade and Udinese.

They might not be the most form-friendly team in their league in the past few years but they regularly make appearances in Europe and were named as the 20th century's best club by FIFA.

It's never been relegated from a league which is considered the strongest in the world, has 9 european cups (more than any other team).

Overall, although I'm sure that IFFHS is based partially on historical rankings (I can't explain Liverpool's top flight presence else), I believe it is not weighted heavily enough on this.
V2. will be using a more "rounded" approach to league selection. At some point I will run the game on holiday, checking in every season, to see how things are going. Then make more.... levelled approach to selecting leagues... and I'm sure Real Madrid will most likely be up there come the end of this game.

Many thanks, Stevenhp1987 (p.s. It has now reached 99 downloads, so thank you all and a 5 star vote from 4 votes on filefront), thanks! </BLOCKQUOTE>

Left in holiday for the day, has done 8 seasons (just begun 2013/14 season)

In 8 years, there have been 7 different teams to win the euro super league... some stats to follow.

Euro Super League History

Euro League 1 History

Euro League 2 History

Euro League 3 History

Champions League History

Euro Challenge Cup History

Euro Vase Trophy History

Quickest club to fall from top flight to bottom = AZ in successive seasons from the start

no club has yet to go from league 3 to the superleague (dinamo kiev and middlesbrough are close).

please ignore the scottish competition logos, lol.

Best club of last two years - Sporting CP, two successive CL titles and now in super league. (both CL & ESL have 20 for reputation).

If somebody wants to use this as a proper holiday game in the GQ forums, then please do so, you have my permission, as long as you provide a link to this thread, and my name next to that link somewhere thanks

Was enjoying playin in this league - then I got two fixtures on one day
I had a Euro League 3 game and a Euro Challenge Cup 3rd Round game on the same date, the 21/09/05.
Pic of the problem
Another strange thing

Between the matches I was not allowed to re-select my team - it just took me straight to the next match - and my players all regained their condition

I'm not sure if this is a bug with the European Leagues or a bug in FM, but I didn't want to post it in the bug forum as I was not using the original db.

Sorry about double post, but after my second match finished, I got a few strange news items.

Strange news item 1
Here, it says that I beat Middlesbrough on penalties in a league match, when I actually drew 3-3 with them and lost on penalties to Milan.

Strange news item 2
Here, the headline says Milan lost, and the news item says they won.

Strange news item 3
Here it says that Seedorf plays for me when he plays for Milan

Should I really be posting this in the bugs forum?

Steven:

I'm very interested in this Super League. Just a query regarding the backup of files. Will this league affect any other games that I am running? I will assume for the time being that if you are using Scottish leagues for the Super Leagues then so long as I don't have SCOTLAND in my leagues for the OTHER games, they should be alright?

I want to have a standard game with Liverpool, inc. Spanish and Italian leagues (Australian too if I can?). I also want a game managing Australia to the WC! So long as I can start both of those without trouble, I will definitely install your awesome Super League!

ah, the first one is a bug in fm (as the team is not the nationality of the league, that happened in fm05)

as for the club badges, your guess is as good as mine.

I haven't touched the club logos???

These three are all known bugs, which have been in fm05 and 06. This can happen alot, on any db

you could install it to a different directory and create a shortcut using Dans fm shortcut creator (so that both are installed).

His shortcut creator is somewhere on the SI site.
