while editing, after putting alot of stats down to ZERO, i still couldn't have the technique coaching stat for coaches on 20. thus making me think, is there and relative stats? would there have to be a particular high/low stat to raise another? any thoughts?

Current and Potential Ability.

This is also known as CA and PA. These range from 0-200 and can be edited in the pregame editor but are not visible in the game (nor can they be made visible (we've tried!)).

Try the links on there. It's a realtime editor which means you can view and edit the stats while you're playing the game.

hey dan!

yea i know about PA/CA. if i increase them to 200/200, i can get say 3 coaching stats (men, str, aero etc) to 20, but wen it comes to the technique stat, it always hovers around 10, even wen decreasing alot of stats to zero, and then placing it on 20, it will go back down to ten with lots of the 'zero'd' stats goin up around 20, very confusing!!

so the question was if there is any stat excluding PA/CA that effects other stats in game!

The reputation of the club which the person is a member could contribute.

In tests I've run on Hull City, altering their reputation, this seems to be proven.

If those other stats are ten. My guess is that they're at a medium reputation club.

weird, because the rep is at maximum, and its in the EPL, so shouldn't be a league rep problem either....very strange.

Ok. Well sorry for presuming you didn't know about PA and CA. It's generally that those who post here don't know!

Setting stats at zero tends to make them random based on the CA and PA and not actually 0.

hmm yea thats what i thought. just hard to get my head around that i can increase every single 'coaching xxx' stat to 20, just not technical! i must be doing something really simple wrong without knowing it!

very strange. i jus tried something else.

i placed PA/CA at 200/200.
reduced every single stat to zero, bar tech coach (which was made to 20), saved editor and made a new game.

then saw the coach i edited, and still, tech was at 9, and every other stat was rounded up to near 20 (18-20). this is very strange indeed!!

I have been having the same problem, if you have 200/200 and 20 in alle skillstats in the editor, then the coach only will have 10 in technique and 18-20 in the other stats when you start a new game. This was with a player/non-player. Then I used Artmoney to give him a pa/ca og 255 in coacha-area, and then every stats went up to 20 except technique, this were raised to 14 or something...
I have no clue why it is like this, but maybe someone else know?
